Focus Training (Anglia) ltd provides specialist training primarily in the care industry. We deliver over 40 courses ranging from Health and safety, First aid and manual handling to more specialised courses such as Dementia and Challenging Behaviours.

We also deliver courses on the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty and NHS Funded Continuing Health Care. Our experienced trainers can come out to your location to provide the training.

2011 has seen Health and Social Care NVQ’s being replaced with a new qualification under QCF (Qualification Credit Framework) which we are proud to offer at levels 2 and 3. This is a Diploma in Health and Social Care. This new award is made up of optional and mandatory units as before, with each unit worth a number of credits. To complete the full award the candidate must achieve 46 credits at level 2 and 58 credits at level 3. Credits are achieved through a mixture of observation and written assignments.

Along with the new Diploma, 2011 heralds the introduction of new Dementia Care qualifications. The Dementia Certificate at level 2 has 14 units and at level 3 has 21 units. These units are assessed much the same as the QCF qualifications and can also be used towards the Diploma. The Dementia award has 4 units at level 2 and at level 3 but is assessed through written assignments only.
