Dementia Courses

Our variety of specialised Dementia courses allows staff the opportunity to learn and develop their knowledge and skills. Emphasis is placed on Dignity in Care, and focuses on the current issues surrounding Dementia and the approaches undertaken in the management of the individuals.

Courses combine a philosophical approach with an emphasis on practical person-centred care including care planning and how to write and record using this approach. Within this approach, the focus is on each person who is valued for their individual worth rather than the disabling aspects of their disease. Dementia is a multi-faceted disease and our staff training courses incorporates many aspects of this.

Delivery of courses utilizes a variety of teaching methods and assessment to meet learning needs.
